Support Our Work
A gift to this Foundation does something unusually direct. It puts a woman in a screening chair who has not sat in one for years, and it keeps a room open on a Friday night where a teenager is genuinely welcome. This is our founding year, and the people who give now shape what this becomes. Early support is what turns two programs into something these communities can count on.
What Your Support Funds
- Costs associated with screenings, and the outreach that fills them. A woman who has gone six years without a mammogram does not need a campaign. She needs a specific appointment, at a time she can make, with a way to get there.
- Safe, well-run events for young people. Space, food, music, trained adults, and the security and insurance that let a program be genuinely open rather than nervously controlled.
- Background checks and training for every volunteer who works with patients or with young people. This is the least visible line in our budget and one of the most important.
- The infrastructure that lets a small organization be a durable one, including insurance, compliance, and the accounting that keeps us accountable to you.
Ways To Give
- One-time and recurring gifts. Recurring support is the most valuable thing a small organization can receive, because it lets us commit to a program before the money is in hand.
- Tribute and memorial giving, in honor or in memory of someone. This Foundation exists because of one such person, and we hold these gifts with particular care.
- Designate your gift to First Light or to the Meridian Youth Program, or give where the need is greatest.
- In-kind goods and services. Tell us what you can offer, and we will be honest about whether we can put it to good use.
- Corporate sponsorship and partnership, for businesses that want to put their name behind work in their own community.
Every gift receives a written acknowledgment by email. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
