Donor Privacy Policy

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information.

The Pamela S. Bell Foundation does not sell, rent, trade, or exchange donor names, addresses, email addresses, giving history, or any other donor information with any other organization, for any purpose, at any price. We do not participate in list exchanges or cooperative databases. This is not a practice we intend to revisit.

What we collect and why

When you give, we receive your name, contact information, the amount and date of your gift, any program designation you choose, and any tribute or memorial message you include. We use it to process your gift, send your acknowledgment and tax receipt, keep the records required of a charitable organization, and communicate with you about the work you have supported.

Payment card information is handled entirely by Givebutter, our donation platform. It does not pass through Foundation systems and we never see or store it.

Recognition and anonymity

We may recognize donors by name in materials such as an annual report, an event program, or a donor listing. We never publish gift amounts alongside a name without permission, and we never publish contact information.

You may give anonymously. Our donation form includes an option to give anonymously, and you may also simply write to info@pamelasbellfoundation.org and ask. If you do not see the option in the interface you are using, write to us and we will mark your gift anonymous ourselves. You may make this request at any time, including after you have given, and it applies going forward without any effect on how your gift is used.

Communications

We will send you an acknowledgment of your gift, which is required and which you cannot opt out of, because it is your tax receipt.

Beyond that, you decide. You can ask us to stop sending you updates at any time, by writing to us or by using the unsubscribe link in any message we send, and we will honor it without asking you to explain.

Your records

You may ask at any time to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it removed from our communications. Write to info@pamelasbellfoundation.org. We retain gift records for at least seven years as required for tax and charitable reporting, which we cannot delete on request, but this does not affect your ability to stop hearing from us.
